Azubu OGN The Champions Summer 2012 will begin next week with the offline qualifiers taking place from June 13th to June 22nd. The eight teams that will qualify will join the four invited teams and top four finishers from the Spring Season in the main event. Together, the sixteen teams will fight for a prize pool of 150 Mil. Won (~ € 103.000) in the Summer Season which will be played out from July 4th until September 8th. 

Last season we saw  MiG Blaze take 1st place, after a final against brother-team  MiG Frost. Only  CLG Prime and  FnaticRC were invited to the Spring Season and both teams got knocked out in the first playoff round but this time there will be more teams representing the western scene.

The format will stay the same, the first round will place the teams into four groups where they will play it out in Best-of-1. Top two teams from each group will advance to the Quarterfinals which will be Best-of-3, while the Semifinals and Grand Final will be Best-of-5. While Draft Mode is the standard mode, if a set goes to the decisive 3rd (or 5th) match, then it will be played as Blind Pick to avoid giving any advantage to one side or the other.

The main event will be streamed live at ognlol.com and VoDs will also be available. The live broadcast start time on each matchday will be 12:30 CEST (UTC +2), as in the previous season.
