Riot Games have announced that the Spectator Mode will be updated in the next patch, in an effort to improve the viewing experience of spectators and ease the job for shoutcasters. Spectator Mode was first introduced at Dreamhack Summer 2011 and has been in beta for almost a full year. The new features include Drop-in spectator; Directed Camera which allows the AI to control the camera and Timeshif controls which allow you to pause, rewind, speed up and slow down a live game. However, the announcement doesn't mention any ability to save replays and play them at another time. For the full explanations of the new features, watch the video below:

I wonder if this will affect streamers.
- Watch pro players in spectatate mode and you can see everything
- Watch them on streams and you got their sound, talk, music
I like to play games or do other stuff myself while watching streams. For me streams are better I geuss. But they might get less viewers because of this update?
