MLG Spring Arena 1 began on Friday evening in New York City and will continue on Saturday and Sunday. The event is Pay-Per-View only, just like the previous Winter Arena. On the first two days the round robin pool play will take place between the eight participants. The top six players from the group stage will advance to the playoffs with the 1st and 2nd place going directly to the semifinals.

The casters for this tournament are  Artosis,  Tasteless,  djWHEAT,  JP and  Rob Simpson while  Grubby,  Axslav,  qxc and  Sheth will provide additional analysis.. The top four players will qualify and get an all-expenses paid trip to the MLG Spring Arena 2 and the MLG Spring Championship.

UPDATE -  DongRaeGu wins MLG Spring Arena 1 after an extremely close 4 - 3 against  MarineKing in the final. It was an emotional match for DRG, who had lost in the previous two MLG finals at the Winter Arena and the Winter Championship against the very same MarineKing. This time he managed to go all the way even though he had a rough start, almost being eliminated in Pool Play where he finished 6th and secured his playoff spot in the very last moment.
