UPDATE #3 : Congratulations to Invictus Gaming for winning The International 2012 and a hefty prize of $1,000,000!

UPDATE #2 : The Grand Final is about to start between Na`Vi and iG! After an almost unbeatable run up until the Upper Bracket final, LGD have had a relatively bad day and will go home with third place and $150,000 for that!

UPDATE : 8 teams have now been eliminated out of the 16! Sadly one of those eliminated teams was our very own Absolute Legends after a decent performance in the group stage they were not able to continue that performance in the play-offs. 

The remaining 8 teams are guaranteed a piece of the prize money, with a minimum of $25,000 so they are already happy about that, and you can see which teams they are below in the brackets.

After three hectic days with a total of 112 games between the 16 top teams in the world, the group stage is finally over. Not to worry though, that was just the appetizer as the main event consisting of the play-offs with Upper and Lower brackets based on the groups' standings is poised to start on Friday the 31st taking place at the Benaroya Hall with thousands of live spectators in Seattle.

There was no tie-breakers in the group stage as tie-breakers are only held when the result affects who goes into upper bracket and who doesn't. That was not the case here and the current tied teams will be resolved with a simple coin toss to decide who takes on whom in the upcoming playoffs.
