The Major League Gaming Spring Championship has been held this weekend in Anaheim, USA. The event featured several tournaments and the League of Legends tournament was one of the biggest. 15 teams from North America and 4 European teams competed for $40,000 and Circuit Points, which are needed to qualify for the Season 2 Final. The entire tournament has been streamed on 4 different streams and commentated by some of the best shoutcasters out there.

The big teams like Team SoloMid, Counter Logic Gaming and Dignitas have been the favorite teams to win the tournament and they didn't disappoint. Team SoloMid got into the Grand Final with only losing 2 maps. Dignitas made it to the 5th round of the tournament, where they lost against Team SoloMid and went down into the Loser Bracket. There they had to play against Counter Logic Gaming and got defeated 0-2. Counter Logic Gaming went to the Loser Bracket by losing against Dignitas in the 4th round.

The Grand Final was a showdown between the two North American power-houses: Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming. The first game of the Best-of-3 was won by Team SoloMid, but Counter Logic Gaming recovered from the loss and won the next two games. To decide, who will win the tournament, both teams had to play another Best-of-3. Both teams won one game and the they had to play one last, deciding game.

Team SoloMid picked up firstblood on Michael 'bigfatjiji' Tang even before the 2 minute mark. Counter Logic Gaming got further and further behind, because Team SoloMid kept the pressure very high and Brian "TheOddOne" Wyllie had some very good ganks. At the 25 minute mark, Team SoloMid started Baron, but George "HotshotGG" Georgallidis stole it with Smite. Team SoloMid started the second Baron after 35 minutes and killed 2 members of Counter Logic Gaming by only losing one. At this point, they were ahead by 9 kill and 10k gold. The last teamfight in the base of Counter Logic Gaming was also won by Team SoloMid and they won the game.
