It has been announced today that
Maik "MoMa" Wallus will no longer be a member of
against All authority. After their performance at IPL in Las Vegas,
aAa decided that it was time to move up a gear in terms of training, and commit to practising more as team. According to aAa's website,
MoMa had no availability or inclination to do so, and has therefore been replaced by
Ahmet "amt2k" Oguz.
When asked to explain about
MoMa's departure, here is what
YellOwStaR had to say:
This is sad news for the team and for all who support us, that I announce today, MoMa is leaving the team because his availability no longer meets everyone's expectations and therefore he cannot contribute to the training sessions that are necessary for the stability we want. We wish to improve our game online and offline. MoMa contributed enormously to the team for some time, and that's something I really appreciate. We had a great time together and he is a very good player but sometimes lacks motivation. For the final word, we wish him all the best in LoL!
MoMa has also released a statement of his own this morning, in which he explains that when he joined
aAa three months ago, they were doing really well, but when things became harder and they started losing matches, the general atmosphere in the team dropped considerably. Despite him trying to inspire motivation, team morale is hard to raise when games do not go well.
The team proposed a solution in the form of practising together 4-6 evenings a week, but
MoMa did not think this was the best course of action, nor could he attend this many training sessions - he had made his availablity known to
aAa from the beginning.
He goes on to say that his departure from
aAa was not his decision, but he hopes that they will benefit from their increased training. He believes that
amt2k is a great player and a good replacement for him, and he has high hopes that the addition of a new player will raise spirits and help them win games. He commends the job being done by the
aAa management, expresses his love for the community and thanks his fanbase.
MoMa assures us that he will continue to play League of Legends, and hints at the possible creation of his own team alongside people who share his own vision of playing professionally without training 5-6 times per week.
The updated
against All authority lineup is as follows:
Ahmet "amt2k" Oguz - AP carry
Paul "Soaz" Boyer - Solo top
Damien "Linak" Lorthios - Jungler
Bora "YellOwStaR" Kim - AD carry
Christoph "nRated" Seitz - Support

this is just stupid... moma was winning them so many games even w/o him training much in the team... they know each other for so long allready that 2-3 days of train a week with moma will inevitably result in more teamplay than 5-6days with some rdm new guy for at least a half year...
not to mention momas personal skill level is for sure higher than the new guys...
whatever... its their decision...
