Hi AbsoluteWetDreaMFanboys.

The moment you all have been waiting for is finally there.
Our beloved be flag Tim "Wetdream" Buysse has finished his jungling guide. Now everyone that wants to learn how to jungle or improve his playstyle will be able to do so by reading through his guide !

Wetdream's jungle guide

Introduction:

Picking a jungler has been getting more and more important in a competitive oriented team. Only in the very early phase of League Of Legends you would see people playing two top and two bottom laners. The use of a jungler has become crucial in competitive play, as it gives a big advantage to your team. A good jungler can keep up with the level of his own solo lanes whilst giving his allies the advantage of gaining bonus experience at top lane.

Jungling tips:

The easiest way to jungle is to do your “Blue Golem Camp”, also known as blue buff. It is called blue buff, because of the squares surrounding you once you have this buff. This buff will provide you cooldown reduction and mana regeneration, which will help you a lot going through your jungle.
You have two big camps (Golem and Lizard camp) and three small camps in your jungle, whilst the enemy jungler has the same camps on the opposite side of the map. If you know where the enemy jungler is, you can easily take advantage of it. Most junglers tend to start at “Blue Golem Camp”, so you can steal some neutral creeps from his jungle and then go back to your own in order to slow down the enemy´s jungle. However, you always have to be careful that you don’t get spotted. It's always a risk if they know what you are doing, because you can easily get caught and taken out.

The best items to start jungling with are probably cloth armor + 5 health pots . This will allow you to jungle with almost any hero you want. You can also start with a regrowth pendant and one health potion and upgrade this into a philosopher stone once you have gained another 365 gold, as this is the upgrading cost.

With the right help (camp pull) you are most likely able to do a level two gank at the lane closest to your starting point - to avoid being predictable you can switch your gank attempt towards mid lane, as most of the time the enemy on that lane doesn’t expect a gank at all. So it is way easier to get a successful gank out of it, i.e. forcing the enemy´s flash or even grabbing a kill.

Anyway, what people have to keep in mind is that this early level two gank is almost always between minute 2:30 and 2:40 - if you get level two and the gank off after they have pulled your golem and leave it in time. It is absolutely necessary to take your golem down to 445 health points before smiting it, to avoid a stealing attempt by the enemies. Knowing that you kill the Blue Golem Buff around 2:30 gives you a hint when their golem will respawn. Usually it is around minute 7:40-7:50 (five minutes respawn time). So informing your team that the enemy golem will be respawning and taking it before the enemy can react will give you a great advantage over the enemy jungler. Your mid lane will also benefit from this, because most of the time the second golem is going to the AP carry, which is mostly followed by a gank.

In order to provide a better understanding of how to proceed in the jungle, I have made some videos on how to do this for most champions I play.

I haven´t played perfect every game, so feel free to think I’m a Noob uploaded image.

Here's the list with all champions I have tested for you.

To conclude my guide, I'll give you a last tip.
Knowing where the enemy jungler is can help you a lot. There are a few useful tools out there with so called "Jungle Timers" which will help you in knowing where the enemy jungler could be.

Here are some important times to keep in mind while jungling:

  • lvl 2 gank: 2.30-2.40
  • wraiths: 2.45
  • double golem: 3.20
  • 2nd blue: 7.55
  • 3rd blue: 13.20
  • 4th blue: 19.40

  • I hope this guide was a great help to all of you and that we will see a lot more junglers in League Of Legends.

If you have any questions or remarks, feel free to leave them in the comments !

Nice guide but i think your information regarding the 2nd blue are wrong. You kill the whole blue camp at around 2:20 so it should spawn at around 7:20 not 7:55.
Can you please play some jungle Cho and Maokai pls? They have high potential to be top junglers.
